To support a boom in the power needs of Loudon County, Virginia’s “data center alley,” Dominion Energy called on Energy Erectors to construct the multi-million-dollar Cumulus Substation in Ashburn, Va. To complete the project, Energy Erector crews will install:
• a ring bus with four, 230-kilovolt breakers,
• two, 230-kV line terminals,
• a new 230/34.5-kV substation with an 84 MVA transformer,
• two 34.5-kV bus, and
• nine circuits.
