Bringing Floridians High-efficiency Energy

NextEra Energy subsidiary Florida Power & Light turned to Energy Erectors to construct a 500-kilovolt switchyard for the FPL Okeechobee Clean Energy Center, near Okeechobee, Fla., to help the utility  phase out its older power plants and bring online new, high-efficiency clean energy centers that cut emissions and save fuel costs. To construct the state-of-the-art switchyard, Energy Erectors’ project managers, field leaders and crews joined forces to undertake siting and drainage, foundation, conduit, grounding, structural and electrical work, and protection and control infrastructure. Energy Erectors’ crews completed the multi-million-dollar project in September 2018.
